Goove Tracking Tutorial:
Recording a take and saving it as a MIDI file
Press the record button (shortcut: Ctl-spacebar) and start playing. When done, press the stop button (shortcut: spacebar). To listen to the recording, first disable groove tracking and then press play (shortcut: spacebar). If you leave the click output enabled, you can hear the piece as you heard it while recording. Next, we save the take as a MIDI file (shortcut: s).
